Guided Tour - Wards
Stepping out of the lift, the first thing you see in the central
area, including the Nurses' station. The doors behind John are doors
to the rooms.
The rooms are of differing capacities, and all of them have
private shower and toilet facilities. The quality of the
accommodation is better than a lot of the hotels in Lourdes, with
every room bright and spacious and with a good-sized window giving a
view of the Domaine area. Below are sights of two of the room types,
the two-bedded one:
and the six-bedded one:
The central area of the ward is used as a social and communal
area, with singsongs and fun the order of the day. Prayer services
and night prayers are occasionally held here also. Below are a
couple of photos that show the activities that take place. Firstly
Niall decides to improve his catching skills with the help of Emer,
a little girl who was staying on the ward:
The wards in general are places of happiness and fun, as you see
from the crowd gathered at a singsong below:
Off the ward to the right of the lifts we have the restaurant
area, or as we call it, the Ref. To go there click here.
