Guided Tour of the New Hospital
As you cross the river from the Grotto, with St Bernadette's
Church in front of you, you turn right and this is the sight you get
of the new Accueil:
Walking past the sign and on around the corner, you see the main
entrance to the New Accueil, and the front door used by the Dublin
pilgrims (below). So far each year we've used one full floor and one
half floor to house roughly 180 sick and infirm pilgrims.
This main area is used as a social area, and also the assembly
point for ceremonies. You'll find people here all the time, either
talking seriously:
or in large groups having a joke:
As we enter the front door, we enter the ground floor area, site
of a lot of the administration of the pilgrimage, and a few other
very important places! Please carry on through here
to see the ground floor.
